Minister of Labour and Social Protection attending 109th International Labour Conference

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A national tripartite delegation led by Minister of Labour and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya is virtually attending the 109th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), which is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland. 


As the leader of the national delegation, the Minister will be giving remarks during the conference, expressing the stance of the Government of Mongolia. 


With each national delegation comprising government, employer, and worker representatives, about 3,900 representatives are participating in the conference to discuss the application of labour standards during the pandemic, international cooperation, and the future of social protection for a human centered world of work. 


Planned to take place until June 19, the 16-day session will also include events such as the World of Work Summit entitled, ‘International action for a human-centered COVID-19 response’, as well as the World Day Against Child Labour. 


The 109th International Labour Conference is planned to be organized in two parts, with the first in June 2021 and the second in November 2021.
