1312 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today's
press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 1312 new cases of COVID-19
confirmed in Mongolia after 8500 tests performed in the past 24 hours.
970 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar
city while 340 were detected in rural areas. Moreover, two citizens who
arrived from Afghanistan on June 2 tested positive for the virus.
As a result, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have
reached 69,022. In the past 24 hours, 444 people have been discharged from
hospital, making the number of recoveries 55,157.
It was also reported that six people died from COVID-19, raising
the country’s death toll to 324.
