Parliamentary group chairs agree to expand Mongolia-Hungary cooperation in agriculture

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 3, Member of the State Great Khural, Chair of Mongolia-Hungary parliamentary group N.Ganibal had a virtual meeting with Member of the National Assembly of Hungary, Chair of the National Assembly’s Hungary Mongolia parliamentary group Horvath Laszlo to discuss relations and cooperation between the two countries and cooperation between the parliamentary groups.

 

MP N.Ganibal expressed gratitude for the decision to vaccinate Mongolian scholars studying on Hungarian government scholarships as well as Mongolians working in Hungary as well as the contribution to the COVAX program, underlining that Hungary is an important partner of Mongolia in Eastern Europe. He also said cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries has an important role in strengthening bilateral relations and proposed organizing visits and experience sharing events of parliament secretariat staff, establishing ties between parliamentary research institutes and collaborating on scientific research projects with the library of the Hungarian National Assembly.

 

Emphasizing that education is one of the key areas of cooperation between the two countries, Mr. N.Ganibal thanked the Hungarian side for granting government scholarships to Mongolian students and showed an interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture and learning from Hungary’s experience in the development of local tourism and agriculture.

 

Mr. Horvath Laszlo expressed pleasure with the steady development of relations between the two countries, undertaking to provide support at all times. He also made proposal to expand the government scholarship program for Mongolian students, train Mongolian specialists at Hungarian agricultural universities and colleges, and promote cooperation in agriculture and food industry, saying that the Mongolian MP’s proposals are all feasible.
