Number of traded securities reaches 66.6 million in April

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. In the first four months of 2021, 312.3
million pieces of securities worth of MNT 599.6 billion were traded at the
national stock market, increased by MNT 587.8 billion (50.7 times) and 254.1
million pieces of securities (5.4 times) compared to the same period of
previous year.
In April 2021, total sales of stocks reached MNT 533.7 billion, increased by MNT 509.7 billion (22.2 times) from the previous month, and increased by MNT 531.4 billion (234.0 times) from the same period of previous year. The number of pieces of traded securities reached 66.6 million, which decreased by 1.3 million pieces (1.8%) from the previous month, while it increased by 57.1 million pieces (7.0 times) from the same period of previous year.
In April 2021, the average of indices of the top 20 financial markets was 35351.5 units, increased by 1399.2 units from the previous month, and increased by 18720.3 units from the same period of 2020. In April 2021, the total value of joint stock companies operating at stock markets reached MNT 3.7 trillion, increased by MNT 27.1 billion (0.7%) from previous month and increased by MNT 1.3 trillion (53.2%) from the same period of previous year.
