Online course ‘Food safety management system and OIE regulations for meat exports’ organized

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Within the framework of the European Union (EU) funded ‘Support to Employment Creation in Mongolia (SECiM)’ project, which is jointly implemented by Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a 5-day online based Advanced Training of Trainers course on ‘Food safety management system and OIE regulations for meat exports’ was organized on 10-14 May 2021. The training aims to refresh knowledge and build technical capacity of local trainers in the food industry to be able to provide similar courses for their staff and customers, especially the private sector stakeholders.
Over 100
participants from private sector, government agencies, academia, NGO
associations and cooperatives from Ulaanbaatar and provinces attended actively.
Selected 20 trainers, under careful assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, will attend factory onsite training
with a remote coaching of the international trainers of UNIDO Mr. Issa Ali
Beitouni and Mr. Kadirbyek Dagys using virtual reality (VR) and AR digital
tools. Mr. Marco Ferri, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia and
representatives of MoFALI and GAVS attended the closing of the training with
insightful remarks.
The training coordination is well supported by MoFALI, General Authority of Veterinary Services (GAVS), Mongolian Food Industry Association (MFIA), Mongolian Meat Association and Mongolian Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).
