Virtual meeting held on development of tourism and air transport

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 26, a committee consisting of professionals from organizations including the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Ministry of Road and Transport Development, the Tourism Development Center, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia convened virtually.
During the meeting, they discussed renewing the air transport agreements made with countries such as the Republic of Korea, the People’s Republic of China, and the Russian Federation, and implementing a policy on tariff flexibility as well as the urgent implementation of ‘1 city - 1 air carrier’ policy for charter flights during the summer tourist season.
Despite the current difficulties for the sectors of tourism and air transport due to the pandemic, a quick recovery is possible through effective cooperation, highlighted the participants.
The suggestions put forth during the virtual meeting is planned to be introduced to the Prime Minister in order to have them reflected in the Government’s action plan for 2020-2024.
