COVID-19: 1,340 new cases detected

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health today on April 18, it was reported that 1,340 new cases were detected in Mongolia after testing about 12 thousand people nationwide within the past 24 hours. 

 

While there were 1 imported case and 1,220 new cases detected in Ulaanbaatar city, the rest were recorded in the cities of Darkhan and Erdenet as well as Khovd, Bayankhongor, Arkhangai, Tuv, Selenge, Dundgobi, Khentii, Dornod, and Sukhbaatar aimags.

 

As of today, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Mongolia now stands at 21,995. In the past 24 hours, 427 people have been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 11,877.


Furthermore, three new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, raising the country's death toll to 44. Of the 3,202 patients currently undergoing treatment, there are 2,054 patients in mild, 860 in serious, 231 in critical, and 57 in very critical condition.
