Deputy Minister G.Batsuuri works at the factory of Khanbogd Cashmere

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On March 23, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry introduced a project on developing the cashmere sector that was jointly developed with the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association. MPs, Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry G.Batsuuri, Director of the Light Industry Policy Implementation and Coordination Department M.Dondogdorj, and representatives of Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association and private entities attended the event. Following a presentation done on suggestions on necessary measures to be taken by the government in the near future, the participants became acquainted with the operations of the company, ‘Khanbogd Cashmere’, exchanging views on pressing issues and possible solutions.
CEO of Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association D.Altantsetseg introduced matters that require attention regarding the current state of the cashmere sector, and sectoral policy as well as competitiveness in the global market, putting forth suggestions.
