103 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 103 people were detected with coronavirus after testing 19,341 people nationwide in the past 24 hours.
Of the cases, 91 were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases and one person, who arrived on the charter flight in route of Istanbul-Ulaanbaatar on February 25, diagnosed positive by the third test. Thus the number of imported cases of COVID-19 has reached 422.
Surveillance works are underway to define infection sources for 11 cases, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) J.Baigalmaa emphasized.
Total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Mongolia now stand at 3,664. Moreover, 60 people recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered people to 2907. Currently a total of 740 people are under treatment at the NCCD, Military Central Hospital, Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center and general hospitals of Zavkhan and Tuv aimags.
