Mongolia reports 80 new cases and one coronavirus-related death

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press
briefing of the Ministry of Health that 80 new cases of COVID-19 were detected
after 21,585 tests performed in the past 24 hours nationwide.
Specifically, 79 of the new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar
city, while one was registered in Tuv aimag. 77 out of all cases reported today
were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases and the sources of the
other three cases are under investigation.
Deputy Director of the National Center for Communicable Diseases
E. Temuulen reported that a 76-year-old woman, who was receiving the
coronavirus treatment in the intensive care unit died on her 21st
day of treatment due to the complication of pneumonia. Therefore, the number of
coronavirus-related deaths in the country has reached four.
Mongolia has so far recorded 3,561 confirmed cases. Currently,
697 patients are receiving treatments at the hospitals.
