Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister S.Amarsaikhan, as the Mongolian co-chair of Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental commission for trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation, held a meeting with First Deputy Director of Ulaanbaatar Railway (UBTZ) joint venture company Igor Vasilievich Milostnykh.

They discussed the company’s activities and ways to increase passenger and freight traffic and export volumes and agreed to make progress in the Bogd Khan railway bypass project of strategic significance.

As a result of the project, trains that pass through Ulaanbaatar and other trains carrying exports and imports will bypass Bogd Khan Mountain instead of going through the capital city. It is expected to carry out the project's feasibility study within six months and put the railway in use within three years.

At the meeting, UBTZ expressed its willingness to buy Sputnik V vaccines from Russia at its own expense and inoculate all of its current and retired employees.
