COVID-19: 12 new cases confirmed

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia conducted 11,190 tests for
coronavirus nationwide on December 18, resulted in the detection of 12 positive
cases.
Six of these cases were reported at the Central Hospital of Bayanzurkh
district, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases of this hospital cluster
to 26. Moreover, a repeated test of people, who arrived on a
Frankfurt-Ulaanbaatar flight, detected six coronavirus cases.
Therefore, the total locally acquired cases have reached 494;
Ulaanbaatar – 169, Selenge - 216, Darkhan-Uul - 45, Orkhon - 25, Gobisumber -
4, Dornogobi -32, and Arkhangai -3. No new infections were recorded in
Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon, Gobisumber and Arkhangai aimags in the past 24 hours.
As of today, the total COVID-19 cases in Mongolia reached 953,
including 509 recoveries.
