Mongolian Ambassador to Canada holds a videoconference

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada Ariunbold Yadmaa held a videoconference with Mr. Jay Allen, Executive Director of the Trade Policy and Negotiations – Asia Division at Global Affairs Canada and exchanged views on further increasing bilateral trade under the 1994 Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Canada on Trade and Commerce.
Ambassador Ariunbold also raised Mongolia’s interest in learning more about the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
The Ambassador provided a briefing on the Mongolia Export Program and the role of Small and Medium Enterprises in contributing to exports out of Mongolia.
The parties also discussed possible opportunities for cooperation in trade capacity building and technical assistance to help support policy and regulatory reforms with respect to Mongolia’s financial services, state-owned enterprises and government procurement.
