COVID-19: 10 new cases recorded, local transmission cases reach 358

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 AM press briefing of the Ministry of Health on the COVID-19 situation, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) A.Ambaselmaa presented results of COVID-19 tests conducted on November 30.

According to her, PCR testing were made on 12,116 people in total on November 30 nationwide. Over 400 of them were first and repeated tests of close and indirect contacts of local transmission cases and 10 people have tested positive for the coronavirus.

One person was diagnosed with the coronavirus among 190 tested people in Arkhangai aimag. The infected person is a close contact of the previous confirmed case.

Seven new cases were recorded in Ulaanbaatar city and the cases were detected from the repeated tests of close contacts of the previous confirmed case.

One case was confirmed each in Selenge and Gobisumber aimags. These people are also close contacts of previous confirmed cases.

No new cases were recorded in Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul and Dornogobi aimags in last 24 hours. Thus, the number of confirmed COVID-19 infection cases has reached 801 countrywide and 358 of them have recovered while 434 people are being treated. 4 of them are in very critical, 6 are in critical, 82 are in serious and 342 are in mild health condition.

As of December 1, COVID-19 local cluster transmission cases reached 358 including 180 confirmed cases in Selenge, 84 confirmed cases in Ulaanbaatar, 44 confirmed cases in Darkhan-Uul, 22 confirmed cases in Orkhon, 21 confirmed cases in Dornogobi, 4 confirmed cases in Gobisumber and 3 confirmed cases in Arkhangai.
