Ya. Sodbaatar: A ‘healthy zone’ will be established in export-dominated aimag

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At the press conference yesterday, November 29, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission Ya. Sodbaatar told the press that the Cabinet has approved a resolution on establishing a healthy zone/ infection -free zone in the export-oriented regions of the country.
He said, “In accordance with the resolution, regions of the Gashuun Sukhait, Tsogttsetsii and Khanbogd in Umnugobi aimag will be ensured with heightened security and their citizens will be involved in PCR testing. The same measures will be taken in Shiveekhuren and Gurvantes regions. A special regime has been placed at Erdenet Mining Corporation. Corresponding officials and authorities were deputed to place a special regime in the total of 28 mining export-oriented companies and strengthen their security and infection control. A working group led by deputy Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry is now working in Umnugobi aimag.”
"Initially, we had used a rapid test to diagnose drivers of coal transport, but the Chinese side has put requirements for a mandatory PCR testing. Therefore, a PCR testing equipment will be installed in Umnugobi aimag to involve drivers in the testing," said Mr.Sodbaatar.
