S.Batbaatar: Parliament to run its activities in an online format from today

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In accordance with the State Emergency Commission’s decision to declare a 3-day quarantine in the capital city, it was resolved to run activities of the parliament in an online format from today, November 11. 


Specifically, plenary sessions of the parliament and meetings of standing committees and working groups will be organized virtually. At its regular spring session, the Parliament amended Law on the Procedure of the Plenary Session of the State Great Khural, reflecting a provision on virtual meeting. According to the provision, plenary session of the parliament will be held via video streaming in the five halls of the State House. Secretariat of the Parliament will work in a virtual format as well.  


Head of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Parliament S.Batbaatar said at the press briefing that a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of foundation of permanent Parliament in Mongolia, a ceremonial meeting of the parliamentary session and scientific conference, which were scheduled to take place today November 11 and tomorrow, November 12, have been postponed for an indefinite period.
