Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Over 70 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teachers, doctors and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) specialists from partner TVET institutions of ‘Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training’ (cTVET) project participated in the First Aid training, conducted by Red Cross Mongolia.

The participants learned to provide basic first aid help at an unforeseen accident with the use of first aid kit or other available materials. Even though, OSH instructions are always to be followed at TVET schools ensuring the safe working and learning environment, it is important to be prepared to give first aid assistance in the case of unforeseen accidents.

“I find the First aid training very practical with theory and practical sessions. I realized it is very important for each citizen to be able to provide first aid help to one another from this training” says the participant of the training, TVET teacher in the field of Plumbing, Sanitation and Air Conditioning.

Commissioned by the BMZ, the cTVET project is funded by the Governments of Germany, Australia, Korea and being implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in close partnership with Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
