Foreign Ministers of Mongolia and Hungary hold online meeting

N.Enkhtaivan held an online meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Péter
Szijjártó on September 29.
During the meeting, the Ministers emphasized the importance
of maintaining the frequency of high-level talks and visits in advancing
Mongolian-Hungarian relations while expressing their satisfaction with the opportunity to hold an online meeting amid the pandemic and exchange views on
forwarding bilateral cooperation.
They exchanged views on intensification of
bilateral trade and economic cooperation and economic projects and programs
to be further implemented. The parties noted the successful progress of the
Biocombinat Renovation Project and concurred to implement projects in the field
of agriculture, including food production, food security, and irrigation.
Underlining the education sector as one of important
fields of bilateral relations and cooperation, Mr. Enkhtaivan thanked for receiving
Mongolian students, who study on scholarships of Hungarian government.
The Hungarian side affirmed its intent to continue the scholarship program and establish relevant documents shortly. Furthermore, the Ministers touched issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual support within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary.
