Road Minister meets Turkish Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On September 2, Minister of Road and
Transport Development L. Khaltar met with Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey
to Mongolia Ahmet Yazal. At the meeting, they exchanged views on bilateral cooperation
in transport sector.
Minister L. Khaltar briefed on policy and activities of the Government and the Ministry. He stressed the important role of road and transport cooperation in the economic cooperation between the two countries while noting Turkey’s valuable contribution and support to the development of road and transport since 1994, in particular the successful implementation of some road projects in Mongolia with the grant of the Republic of Turkey, which became a good experience of bilateral cooperation in transport sector.
Moreover, Mr. Khaltar also noted the importance of paying
attention to the realization of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on April
6, 2018 between the Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia and
Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of
Turkey and said that conducting
joint research works in auto road, railway and air transport areas, organizing
joint seminars and meetings and exchanging
specialists would be significant to create new opportunities for further
cooperation.
