Deputy Speaker meets Japanese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and
member of Mongolia-Japan Parliamentary Group S. Odontuya today received
Ambassador of Japan Kobayashi Hiroyuki.
At the meeting, Deputy Speaker S. Odontuya stressed the
importance of deepening Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership in all fields and
intensifying relations and cooperation between the parliaments and people of
the two countries.
Ms. Odontuya expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan for giving concrete assistance to Mongolia within the framework of bilateral and international organizations at a time when the world countries are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. She also asked the Ambassador to pay attention to the implementation of agreements and contracts.
Reaffirming his commitment to cooperate closely for
strengthening Japan-Mongolia friendly ties, Mr. Kobayashi underlined the importance
of trade and economic cooperation. Moreover, he notified that they have started
exchanging views with relevant organizations on the preparations for the 50th
anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which will be marked
in 2022.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on expanding
economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries and
strengthening partnerships in private sector.
