Mongolia expresses interest in using Japan's experience in city general plan

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Minister of Construction and Urban Development B.Munkhbaatar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Mr. Kobayashi Hiroyuki.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister B.Munkhbaatar thanked the Ambassador for his audience and expressed willingness to cooperate in several areas.
The Minister also voiced an interest in using the Japanese experience in the general planning of Shine Zuun Mod and Maidar cities that will be established along with the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport in Khushig Valley, Sergelen soum, Tuv aimag. “In particular, it needs to increase the number of Mongolian students studying urban planning and infrastructure in Japan to have proper urban planning from the start,“ emphasized the Minister.
Moreover, he expressed willingness to cooperate in improving the quality and standards of construction within the framework of the prevention of natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods.
In response, Mr. Kobayashi Hiroyuki said that he would study cooperation possibilities in the fields.
