Defense Minister receives Australian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 11, Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia Dave Vosen.
During the meeting, Minister G.Saikhanbayar highlighted the significance of the memorandum established between the Defense Ministries of Mongolia and Australia that was established in 2015 in developing relations between the two countries’ defense sectors in a short period of time.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his valuable contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations by consecutively heading discussions and consultative meetings on defense policies and partnership.
The sides agreed that the duties of the military personnel have expanded to taking part in the fight against the global pandemic and natural disasters as well as construction, without being solely limited to the defense sector.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence in further successful development of relations and partnership in the sector between the two countries.
