Geology and mining cooperation with Australia discussed

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister Ya.Sodbaatar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia Dave Vosen. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on trade and investment cooperation.
They believe that there is great potential to expand economic cooperation between Mongolia and Australia, especially in the development of agricultural cooperation.
The two sides also discussed cooperation opportunities in augmenting trade and investment, diversifying the economy, increasing exports, introducing Australian hi-tech to Mongolia, and establishing export-oriented factories.
Today, over 50 Australian-invested companies are operating in the mining sector in Mongolia. They also touched on issues such as cooperating, promoting investment, and enjoying mutual benefit in further intensifying geological exploration.
