Virtual meeting held with Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 7, Director of the
Department for Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
E.Sarantogos had a virtual meeting with Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Mongolia Kanaiym Baktygulova.
The sides talked about exchanging experience and
information during the difficult pandemic period and expanding bilateral
relations and cooperation. The Kyrgyz side proposed speeding up the
measures agreed on by the Mongolia-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental commission and holding
political talks and meetings between inter-ministerial working groups virtually
given the current situation and asked Mongolia to share its experience on
successfully organizing its general election amid the pandemic.
Also, during the meeting, authorities of the General Election Commission of Mongolia were invited to work as observers for the 2020 Kyrgyz parliamentary election scheduled for October.
