Implementation of “Green Gateway” temporary regulation to be intensified

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the Cabinet meeting convened yesterday, August 5, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry G.Yondon gave updates on intensifying implementation of “Green Gateway” temporary regulation on Mongolia-China border checkpoints.
In connection with it, corresponding officials were tasked to clarify whether preparation works on temporary accommodation and isolation facilities for truck drivers coming to Chinese region where quarantine regime is being adhered, have completed and to send names of citizens and entities who hold international “C” permission to governors of aimags where border crossing ports locate.
Furthermore,
the Cabinet obliged corresponding ministers and heads of agencies to reach an agreement with the Chinese side on conducting rapid nucleic acid testing at border
checkpoints or creating conditions to carry out the test beyond the border as
well as increasing transport of export oil to the extent feasible.
Aside from it, the Cabinet members discussed a bill on Government action program for 2020-2024. Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government L.Oyun-Erdene was assigned to complete the development of the bill reflecting the directive given by the Prime Minister and having recommendations from ministers, parties, coalitions that have seats in the parliament, independent MPs, local administrative organizations, public and non-governmental organizations and professional associations. The action program will be consisted of six main chapters – Human Development, Economic Development, Governance Development, Green Development, Capital City, Regional and Rural Area Development as well as Special policy on overcoming socio-economic difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other sub-objectives.
