Head of Finance and State Fund Department of the Governor’s Office of the Capital City E.Gankhuu briefly introduced the budget income and expenses of the capital city for this year, and noted that there has been interruptions in the flow of income directly due to the situation caused by the pandemic. The officials reported that of the 598 projects and measures planned for 2020, 378 are currently being implemented at a progress of 64 percent.

Acting Governor J.Batbayasgalan said, “As the economic situation has become difficult due to the pandemic, a budget amendment will soon be made nationwide. In order to keep the citizens employed and prevent the current situation from getting worse, the government has allowed several types of taxes to be exempt. The corresponding departments must find out ways to reduce costs during the process of developing the budget amendment. Except basic social services, all non-essential expenses should be calculated. However, as the decision has been made to reopen schools and kindergartens, necessary expenses for the prevention of an outbreak must be budgeted alongside the matter,” and obliged corresponding officials to introduce possible measures to be taken to improve the economy.
