State Duma ratifies Mongolian-Russian Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 23, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a bill to ratify the Treaty on Friendly Relations and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation, with all 351 members present voting in favor. 

 

The treaty was signed by heads of state of Mongolia and Russia, Kh.Battulga and Vladimir Putin, on September 3, 2019, during the latter’s official visit to Mongolia and submitted for ratification to the State Duma on June 8, 2020.

 

The State Great Khural of Mongolia ratified the treaty at its plenary session, on November 29, 2019, and the treaty will come into force on the day the sides exchange letters of ratification.
