Khovd /MONTSAME/. A copper dombo (traditional teapot) previously used at the Delgeriin Choiriin Khiid Monastery in Darvi soum, Khovd aimag is currently being kept at the Museum of Khovd aimag. The dombo has a capacity of 16 liters and weighs 20 kg.

Unique for being as tall as a seated person with its height being 63.5 cm, the dombo was mainly used for the purpose of serving tea while monks did their chants and prayers. The museum officials also highlighted that similar dombos were used by Mongolian nobility during the 19th century.

Western Mongolians, especially Zakhchin nobility that lived in Khovd aimag commonly used the traditional teapot since early in history. Some citizens of Mankhan and Zereg soums of the aimag continue to use dombos that were passed down through generations even today.
