Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. MP B.Batzorig submitted his letter of resignation to the Parliament Speaker G.Zandanshatar on April 3.

He said, “There was an issue that companies affiliated with high-level state officials received loans from the Small and Medium Enterprises Fund. I have submitted my request for resignation because I consider it is appropriate to be ethically responsible on this matter, as for a former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry. I offer my apology to constituents.”

In November 2018, General Prosecutor put a request to Parliament Speaker to suspend full rights of MP B.Batzorig to investigate issues regarding SME loan issuance  when he was a Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, but as a result of a secret voting, 86.8 percent of the attending MPs refused of accepting the General Prosecutor’s proposal and considered unnecessary to revoke MP B.Batzorig.
