Mongolian athletes win five medals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian judo team comprising of 12 male and eight female judokas competed in the IJF Paris Grand Slam 2020, held in France on February 8-9. The Paris Grand Slam attracted 683 athletes from 115 countries.

On the first day of the tournament, Mongolian athletes won five medals: one silver and four bronze. In particular, the Hero of Labor of Mongolia, Honored Athlete, Olympic silver medalist, world champion D. Sumiya /57 kg/ won a silver medal.




The honored athlete of Mongolia M. Urantsetseg /48 kg/ received the bronze medal among women, and the silver medalist of the World Championship, the honored athlete D. Amartuvshin /60 kg /, Yo. Baskhuu /66 kg/ and the international master of sports Ts. Tsogtbaatar /73 kg/ won the bronze medals.
