Foreign Minister meets Canadian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia Catherine Ivkoff on January 14.
At the meeting, the sides mutually
noted that Mongolia and Canada have shared values that esteem democracy, human
rights and freedom, and are for not limiting bilateral cooperation by mining
sector, but for developing cooperation in economy, trade, investment, humanity
and sports sectors.
Minister
D.Tsogtbaatar expressed a request to continue partnership in introducing Canada’s
cutting-edge management of extractive industry, improving human rights and social
participation of women and girls as well as capacity building of public
service.
Ambassador Catherine Ivkoff expressed her commitment to work
for developing bilateral relations and cooperation in all sectors, in
particular continuing the implementation of projects and programs of Canada official
development assistance.
