Ongoing projects with EBRD discussed

/MONTSAME/ Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan
on January 10 met with officials headed by Ekaterina Miroshnik, Director and
Head of Infrastructure for Russia and Central Asia, European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Ms. Ekaterina
Miroshnik expressed gratitude for setting up and supporting the project unit of
the Ulaanbaatar Solid Waste Modernisation Project and informed that the project’s
tender will be announced and works will commence shortly. She also thanked the
Governor for providing a land plot for the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing
project.
Highlighting
that first projects began thanks to the efforts and partnership of the capital
city government’s officials and the EBRD, Governor S.Amarsaikhan said a plan for
green city was included in Mongolia’s long term development policy, Vision
2050. The Governor then said it is possible to cooperate in the implementation of Tuul
Water Complex project to enhance water supply to Ulaanbaatar, bus depot reform
project, and school bus project in addition to intensifying the ongoing
projects and gave brief information on the comprehensive public transport
reforms to be carried out in the capital city over the next five years.
