The Mongol Messenger announces English essay contest

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Mongol Messenger, English weekly newspaper operated by the national news agency MONTSAME announces its annual essay contest in English among 10-12 grade students of high schools in Ulaanbaatar, which have special curriculum for English. The contest is to be organized for the second year in collaboration with the British Embassy in Mongolia.


The contest aims to encourage students to improve English writing skills, discover youths’ views on their country - Mongolia and contribute to promotion of Mongolia abroad by publicizing the best essay of the contest through the agency’s website, newspaper and magazine. The second contest will be held under the topic ‘What should Mongolia be famous for in the world?’


Essays for the contest should be written in English under the topic ‘What should Mongolia be famous for in the world?’ with maximum of 800 words and sent to the email addresses: mongolmessenger@gmail.com or mongolmessenger@montsame.gov.mn. Deadline for the essay submissions is December 25.


The best three essays will be selected and MONTSAME agency’s awards and the British Embassy’s presents will be granted.
