Initiative for future peace and prosperity introduced

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On the sideline of his attendance at the General Debate of 74th UN General Assembly in New York City, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met with US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, David R.Stilwell on September 27.
At the meeting, the sides emphasized a significance of the visit of Mongolian President Kh.Battulga to the USA last July and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and some matters taking place in international arena.
The same day, the Minister also had a meeting with Ms. Jayathma Wickramanayake, the United Nations Secretary General’s Envoy on Youth .
During the meeting, the Minister introduced his initiative ‘Peacebook Forum’ and ‘Awards for young diplomats for future peace, progress and prosperity'. The sides shared views on further cooperation with the UN and Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth for the capacity building of youth within the initiative.
