MoU signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ While attending the General Debate of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met with Foreign Affairs Ministers of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Kingdom of Bahrain on September 27.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Algeria on establishing a mechanism of political consultation meeting. The MoU has been signed with Bahrain side as well.
By
establishing the memorandum, the sides will have an opportunity to hold
political consultative meetings regularly. Besides signing the MoU, the
Mongolian and Algerian sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral
relations and developing business cooperation.
Algeria stands at the 15th place with its oil reserve in the world. Since Mongolia is striving to build its first oil refinery, the parties discussed opportunities to study experience from Algeria, rendering assistance on training personnel and cooperate.
