‘Mongolians of the World’ children’s folk art festival takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In aims of passing on and promoting the great folk art repertoire to Mongolian children and the next generations, developing their talent and skills, doing a joint performance, developing a sense of pride in the traditional culture, arts and heritage, and enhancing cultural exchange, the annual ‘Mongolians of the World’ children’s folk art festival took place for the second year on July 22-23.
Representatives of the people with Mongolian roots living in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Kalmykia, and the Tyva Republic of the Russian Federation, and over 170 children of the nine districts of Ulaanbaatar, and the 21 aimags of Mongolia participated in the festival, which was jointly organized by the Family, Youth and Child Development Agency and the Mongolians’ Heritage of Arts NGO. They competed in two age groups: ages 6-11, and ages 12-18.
