PM meets with scientists and scholars
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh today met with representatives of scientific field and shared views on current condition and perspective of the sector.
At the meeting, the scientists and scholars requested to raise
investments in the sector and their salary. They
also asked the Government to have orders executed by Mongolian Academy of
Sciences and its institutes, set up unified laboratory and park of MAS, cut
customs duty on equipment and devices required for the research and studies as
well as render support on developing Mongolian studies by organizing
enlightenment activities based on heritage and customs.
PM U.Khurelsukh said he considers that lack of long-term
sustainable policy based on science alongside the state of being irresponsible
and undisciplined affect the prosperity of the country adversely.
"The Government is in urgent need to collaborate with the
scholars and scientists. Therefore, a decision was made to organize a national
consultation in September to discuss pressing issues and ways to resolve
them," added the PM.
