Model center for youth employment services opens in Bayankhongor aimag

Bayankhongor /MONTSAME/. A model center for youth employment services was opened at the aimag’s Labor and Welfare Service Agency on May 22. The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Bayankhongor aimag G.Batjargal, Head of the aimag’s Labor and Welfare Service Agency D.Amarsanaa, project consultant Ivan Takac, corresponding officials and youth attended the opening ceremony.
The model center was provided with the necessary furniture, equipment and computers worth MNT 27 million from the project being implemented by the GFA Consulting Group with the financing of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Several new services and methods will be introduced through the center for youth, especially those who have recently graduated with little work experience. For instance, they will assess the employability skills of the youth, developing a personal plan suited to each person. A module training will also be organized every 4 weeks, which will help them in learning more about themselves, making contact with employers and developing the skills to do a successful job interview in the process.
Of the over 1,800 citizens actively searching for jobs in the aimag, 60 percent is made up by the age group of 15-34.
