Mongolian Soroban practitioner wins at the competition in Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Students of ‘Mongol Soroban’ center at the Mongolian Soroban Association aged between six and 13 have successfully participated in the 34th Soroban competition held in Ibaraki prefecture of Japan. Ibaraki is known for the best practitioners of soroban abacus.

Of 22 national students, six-year-old D.Uilstuguldur won in the under 8 age category, claiming gold medal. Other athletes won second and third places in their respective age categories as well. Namely, soroban practitioners E.Enerel, T.Tulga, G.Chinzorig, A.Anu and E.Anu-Ujin won silver medals, while G.Nandin-Erdene, V.Anujin, B.Anujin, S.Siileg, Sh.Urangoo and B.Enkh-Urjin won bronze.


The national team will be competing in the 38th All Japan Soroban Championship in Tokyo to be held on July 30, 2019.
