Mongolia-U.S. consular consultative meeting takes place

/MONTSAME/ On April 25, the first consular consultative meeting between the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the United States Department of State was
held in Washington.
Representatives of the Mongolian Embassy to the USA, General Consulate in San Francisco, and Permanent Representative’s Office in New York were present at the meeting which was co-chaired by L.Munkhtushig, Director of Consular Department of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry and Edward Ramotowski, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Visa Services of the U.S. State Department.
The sides
exchanged views on bilateral consular relations and cooperation, and appraised
the comprehensiveness and concrete outcomes of the ‘Travel Responsibly’
campaign being jointly conducted by the Mongolian Foreign Ministry and U.S. Embassy
in Mongolia.
Furthermore, during the meeting, it was decided to explore ways to involve Mongolians broadly in the U.S. H2 visa program and the Mongolian side informed that the country is taking step-by-step actions to meet the requirements for the U.S.Visa Waiver Program.
