Speaker G.Zandanshatar invited to visit DPRK

Speaker G.Zandanshatar received Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic
of Korea (DPRK) to Mongolia O Sung Ho on
April 2.
The
Ambassador conveyed greetings of Kim Yong-nam, President of the Presidium of
the Supreme People's Assembly to Speaker G.Zandanshatar.
The
Ambassador said, “Unchanging and unwavering policy of our country is to deepen
friendly relations between DPRK and Mongolia. Supreme leader of our country Kim
Jung-un attaches an importance to this relations, paying a special attention,”
and invited Speaker G.Zandanshatar to visit DPRK.
For his part, Mr. Zandanshatar said that the Parliament of Mongolia and he will pay special attention on developing bilateral traditional and friendly relations between two countries. He said that within the goals to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation, Mongolia is proposing to organize a regional parliamentary forum in Ulaanbaatar in collaboration with the Supreme Assembly of the DPRK by supporting ‘Ulaanbaatar Dialogue’ which aims to make Northeast Asia nuclear-free region and build peace on the Korean Peninsula. There is a possibility to cooperate with the Republic of Korea on this event, underlined the Speaker.
He also noted it is entirely
possible to organize DPRK- USA Summit which was held in Singapore in 2018 and
Vietnam in 2019, in Ulaanbaatar in the coming years.
Mentioning about the invitation
for DPRK’s leader Kim Jung-un to visit Russian Federation, Mr.Zandanshatar said
that Mongolian government and the people will be grateful if he stays in
Mongolia on the way during his visit.
For
his part, Mr. O Sung Ho said that he is
very pleased with the proposals forwarded by the Speaker as it is an expression of
Mongolia’s contribution to deepen bilateral traditional and friendly relations
and soothe tense situation on the Korean Peninsula and the proposals will
be conveyed to the authorities of the country.
A kindergarten named after Kim Il-sung, located in the center of Uvurkhangai aimag, is operating very well; thus children who want to attend the kindergarten have increased much, but it is overloaded, said Mr. O Sung Ho and asked support to resolve financial issue for building an extension to the kindergarten.
