Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on February 27, the Cabinet discussed the following issues.

-The Cabinet obliged the Head of Cabinet Secretariat of Government L.Oyun-Erdene and Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry D.Sumiyabazar to transfer licenses of some deposits with strategic importance into the ownership of ‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC. The Board of Directors of the company was assigned to implement required project and program, realize objectives and goal reflected in the mid-term strategy of the company and take certain measures to increase benefits of shareholders.

- The Cabinet made a decision to distribute 4000 tons of hay and 3000 tons of fodder from state reserve at 50 percent discounted price to Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Bayan-Ulgii, Gobi-Altai, Zavkhan, Khovd, Khuvsgul and Uvs aimags that are experiencing harsh spring.  

-Forest strips, afforestation area and arboretum that were built in some aimags in 2007-2016 within the ‘Green Belt’ Mongolian and Korean Joint Project will be registered on state forestry data. In duration of the project implementation, trees were planted at 2826 ha area in total.

-The Cabinet backed a draft of the Program Implementation Agreement in compliance with the MCC Compact established between the Government of Mongolia and the U.S. Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar will sign the agreement.  

-The Cabinet backed a draft of the loan agreement of the project ‘Supply of equipment and technical facilities for Complex Building of General Archival Authority’ to be established between the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia and Export-Import Bank of the Republic of Korea. A repayment term of the loan worth USD19 million will be 40 years, with an interest of 0.15 percent and a moratorium period of 10 years.

- According to the government resolution, 9,729.507.5 area covering territories of 88 soums of 17 aimags has been taken into state reserve. Geological mapping and general explorations will be conducted in the area.
