Minister Ch.Ulaan receives AmCham Mongolia Representatives

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan received Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia Oybek N. Khalilov, Executive Director O.Adiya and other representatives of AmCham on February 22.
In 2018, the Ministry and AmCham Mongolia co-organized a conference on intensive farming, and the chamber is currently working to have the bill on exemption from customs tax for textile products made in Mongolia approved. The chamber’s monthly meeting in April was attended by Deputy Minister J.Saule, in which she introduced the sector policy and investment opportunities to the members.
For the coming month’s monthly meeting, they invited Minister Ch.Ulaan to attend the meeting as a guest as well as to give opening remarks at the animal husbandry conference that will be co-organized by the International Finance Corporation and Mercy Corps.
Minister Ch.Ulaan agreed to the request and discussed opportunities for partnership in diversifying the economy by developing agricultural sector and finding new markets for export.
