Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian State Philharmonic Orchestra is to perform a concert with ‘Romeo and Juliet’ overture-fantasy and ‘Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74’ by renowned Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky on January 19.

The concert will be conducted by Foremost Cultural Figure D.Nyamdash and hosted by pianist M.Tsogbadrakh.

Long time ago, the orchestra performed Tchaikovsky’s famous Symphony No. 6, known as ‘Passionate Symphony’, under the conduction of Honored Cultural Figure, maestro N.Butenbayar.

Tchaikovsky started writing the symphony in February 1893 and finished in August of the same year, leading its first performance in Saint Petersburg two months later.
