Defense Minister meets French Ambassador

Defense Minister N.Enkhbold met newly appointed Ambassador of French Republic
Philippe Merlin at the State House on November 16.
At
the outset of the meeting, Defense Minister expressed his satisfaction with developing
bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, social and defense sectors.
The minister also appreciated for rendering support and
involving Mongolia’s military staff in training in France.
In
academic year of 2018-2019, Mongolian military staff will be also involved in
professional military training and the War College of France.
Mentioning that Mongolia’s active participation in the UN and NATO peacekeeping missions, the sides exchanged views on increasing participation of armed forces of France in multinational peacekeeping exercises to be organized in Mongolia, keeping cooperation in security, communications and information spheres and improving capacity to take part in peacekeeping operations.
