Ulaanbaatar and Beijing cities to collaborate in improving air quality

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 22, Mayor S.Batbold held an official meeting with Chen Jining, Mayor of Beijing, People's Republic of China.
During the meeting, Mayor
S.Batbold put proposals on cooperating in reducing air and environment pollution and traffic
jam, building apartments for young families and training specialists in
environment, ecology and public transportation.
The Mayor of Beijing expressed its readiness to cooperate in improving air quality of
Ulaanbaatar city and spoke about possibilities of involving civil servants in long
and short term master and doctoral programs in Beijing and to train high professionals.
2019 marks the 380th
anniversary of formation of Ulaanbaatar city and 70th anniversary of
the People’s Republic of China. Therefore, the Mayor of Beijing was invited to
visit Ulaanbaatar city during the Naadam Festival.
During the official visit of the Mayor,
Ulaanbaatar Days events are being organized for the first time in Beijing and a
business meeting between entities of the two cities will be held as well.
