Wrestlers win eight medals in SakhaSports
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On September 6-8, the Dmitry Korkin wrestling tournament was held at the ‘Triumph’ palace of Sakha, Russia, where Mongolian wrestlers won eight medals--five silver and three bronze.
Specifically, T.Tuvshintulga (61 kg), T.Tulga (65 kg), B.Byambadorj (70 kg), U.Batzul (97 kg) and N.Zolboo (123 kg) won silver medals and an Honored athlete P.Unurbat (79 kg), O.Uitumen (76 kg) and L.Turtogtoh (92 kg) won bronze respectively.
In the 11th tournament, a total of 195 athletes from 30 countries, including some 20 olympic and world championship medalists, competed in 10 weight categories.
The first place prize of the tournament was USD 7 thousand, while silver and bronze medalists won USD 5000 and 3000 respectively.
Mongolian team was led by senior coach of the national team B.Battulga and honored trainer A.Tsedensodnom.
