Cooperation with Israel in agricultural sector discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ J.Saule, Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, met with Amihaz Lustig, Co-Founder and CEO of Israel’s LR Group, and Yaki Zinger, Vice President of Business Development and Head of the Health Division of the group, on September 5.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Minister J.Saule noted Mongolia and Israel have historic friendly ties and experiences in cooperating in agricultural sector. Moreover, she highlighted cooperation opportunities in developing greenhouse farming, finding solutions to the irrigation system, as well as upgrading technologies of leather, wool and spinning factories and increasing their capacity.
The delegation from LR Group briefed about their activity, including its 30 years of operation in agricultural, health and farming sector.
The sides exchanged views on cooperating in health protection and registration of livestock, ensuring food safety as well as sales and supply of groceries.
