Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai aimag celebrates yak festival

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ '20 thousand Yak Festival' was held in Undur Khyasaa area of Ulaan Am bagh, Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai aimag on August 21-22.

The festival featured various events, including glorification of the aimag’s State Famed Cattlemen, yak race, trade fair of yak dairy products, Mongolian wrestling and arts event.

There are over 500 households in the first bagh of the aimag, which is ranked second in the aimag by its yak number with 20 thousand yaks. The bagh has seven State Famed Herders and Milkers.
