Birth rate increases by 6.4 percent

In the first 7 months of 2018, there were 608 cases of infant mortality, increased by 4 (0.7 percent) cases compared to same period of previous year, and 756 cases of under-five mortality, increased by 36 (5.0 percent) cases compared to same period of previous year. In July 2018, 79 cases of infant mortality were recorded, 4 (4.8 percent) cases less than previous month, 107 cases of under-five mortality were recorded, 2 (1.8 percent) cases less previous month.
In the first 7 months to 2018, infant mortality rate per 1000 live births was 14, and under-five mortality rate per 1000 live birth was 17, which are same as the same period of the previous year. In July 2018, infant mortality rate per 1000 live births was 12, increased by 1 and under-five mortality rate per 1000 live births was 16, increased by 2 compared to the same period previous year respectively.
In the first 7 months of 2018, maternal mortality was 12 increased by 2 (20.0 percent) compared to the same period of the previous year. Maternal mortality rate per 100 000 live births was 27, increased by 3 compared to the same period of the previous year.
